Have a look at my Christmas stall dates. First one is in 2 weeks time. Best get off the computer and get sewing!

My first stocking
After consulting my friend the internet, I found a very helpful guide on how to make a stocking from "Kirstie's Homemade Christmas". The steps were really easy to follow and I might just make a few more in time for my first Christmas stall at Brudenell Social Club in 2 weeks time.

Punting for bunting
Just finished making this bunting for 2 little girls called Mia and Olivia.
This bunting is typically very pink and flowery which is great for little girls but I make bunting in plenty of other colour ways and always take requests.
10 flags measuring 2.5(ish) metres is £15 with a small extra charge to add lettering.

Pink cakes for a good cause
Thought I'd share these cakes I made for "Wear it pink day" at work.
It's the most effort I've ever put into icing cakes and I was rather pleased with how they looked.
The best thing is by selling them we raised lots of money for Breast Cancer Charities!

I'll be selling at Designers Marketplace on Dec 3rd at Middlesbrough Town Hall. Come along. Fingers crossed for no spontaneous snow storms this year!
Beach huts
Just finished this Beach hut cushion. Bright colours and a summertime theme to cheer me up on a dark, chilly night.

Busy busy busy
For the first time since we moved house I've managed to get my sewing machine out of it's box and move enough of our excess furniture to sit at my desk and use it.
Here are the first few creations to sprout from it since it was dusted off on Sunday evening.
Some lovely cushions made with my favourite stripey fabric and the last piece of some bargainous yellow wool fabric I found at a jumble sale a few years ago.
Also I have my first stall of the Christamas season confirmed. Handmade at the Brudenell Social Club on 27th November.
If you live in Leeds you should definitely come. There are always loads of other fantastic stalls, yummy tea and cake too and it's free to get in. 3 very good reasons to come and take a peek.

Tuesday Nights
At the the moment are all about Kirstie's Homemade Home on Channel 4.
I've been none stop since I got home this evening but i'm taking a break from the sewing machine to watch Kirstie and make some greetings cards.
My first stall of the Christmas Season is on Thursday night at the local village school.
It's all very exciting but a little stressful as I'm rather under prepared.
It's also become apparent that when I moved house last month didn't bring all my stock for the stall with me and a good proportion of it is still at my mum's house.
Here are 2 cushions that I created this evening.
So if you happen to be anywhere near Ainderby Steeple Primary School on Thursday 18th November then pop along and see me at my first event of the festive season.

Lavender Bags
I finished these tiny Lavender Bags last night. The fabric came from an Ikea dolly's blanket that my big sister sent me. She has asked me to make a new blanket for Evie's play cot as she was a bit uninspired by the one from Ikea. So I've started to make Evie a blanket to match her bunting and thought the Ikea fabric could have a new lease of life and be recycled into something I can sell.

I've got a shop on Folksy.
It's growing slowly and steadily.
I find it difficult to sit in front of the computer for hours adding items.
I'll get there eventually x

Busy again.
I've moved house and my studio has moved with me.
Although my studio space has downsized a little, it's still as busy as ever in the lead up to Christmas.
I'm currently on with a whole new batch of baby clothes and Momma Tanyo is busy crocheting pram and dolly blankets ready for all the Xmas stalls.
As well as doing several little stalls in the area I'm planning an open house one afternoon/evening for everyone I know to have the chance to buy some JoTanyo gifts and homeware.
But the stall I am most excited about is Designers Market Place on 28th November at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
There will be over 40 different stalls there and they always play plenty of Christmas tunes to get you in a festive mood. I can't wait! See you there x

Christmas already
Despite dragging my heels in an attempt to not ruin the festive magic I made a start on my xmas stock back in September.
Here is a peek at the first lot of JoTanyo xmas decs. Xmas trees, scrummy xmas puds and pretty hearts, the latter when taken out of a festive context will still look sweet all year round! Bargain.
My next stall will be.....
I'll be here selling all the usual goodies plus some very special bits and bobs for xmas.
Designers Marketplace always has an amazing selection of stalls, so i suggest you skip the high street and do all you xmas shopping here.

Designers Marketplace Leeds
Here is a picture of my stall on Saturday. The day went really well and I sold lots of different bits and pieces. On the whole the best seller was the baby clothes i've just started making. It was the first stall that i'd sold them at and people really seemed to like them. Which is always nice.
Thanks to Heather for coming and helping me all day, I doubt I would have sold as much without her smiling face there.

Playing Shops and Baby Tanyo
Thanks to everyone who came to the "Miniature Designers Marketplace" in Middlesbrough last night. It went really well and I sold far more than I expected. Also thank you to Mummy Tanyo who came to play shops with me.

As a last minute addition to the stall I decided to decorate some bibs. They sold so well last night that i've decided to make more stuff for babies. Look out at my next stall at the Loft, Leeds on 3/10/2009 for Baby Tanyo sleepsuits, body suits and bibs.

Preparations for tonight.
I've got a stall tonight at The Forbes Building in Middlesbrough, so i've been bust making bits and bobs to make it look super pretty. Last night I made a whole new batch of lavender bags and decorated my first baby bib. So they will be on sale tonight.

Below are some pictures of the work in progress and some finished items.
